in highschool there was an annual poetry anthology. mine was just about two crack head lovers coming into the baskin robbins i worked at. but this one always got to me. this is the first bit.
| Quote: | Lingering on the cuff of darkness and you say to me, it's time and I'm sorry.
I tell you i tried but i can't, and if you give up on this, if you give up on me
that's okay. I'll sit here and wait 'til my arms fall flaccid, I'll breathe in this
squlid air 'til it kills me, I'll wait for it all to end. |

Remember to remember me
Standing still in your past
Floating fast like a hummingbird
(these are from the time before this summer - april, i believe, when it seemed these dandylion weeds would continue on endlessly multiplying, blowing into the air, and cracking sidewalks.
and: except for the bus stop shot, the rest were only edited for cropping and contrast. the bus stop one had definate plastic surgery done...)
also to note: the elle donne son corps à la science set has been edited.

i'll come back when i have something better. will have to be more from the archives. the digital camera may be dead for good (E18 error, and it may not be worth the cost of repairing). still, my precious Canon s45 will be sorrily missed. there were still things i had not yet taught myself, like manual focusing...
well, this leaves me with 2 very simple film camera's...
[edit nov 16] from august: this last one was not taken by me, for i was waiting in the car, outside this newly built, definately over a million dollar north shore house. we'd spent the day rowing in my dad's old battered aluminum boat. not only did i need the relief of sitting quietly in the car, i refused to go in for a specific reason, and was going over why i felt the need to resist urgings to see the inside. it was nearly completed, with brand new toys and tasteful, unused vases properly situated, and we relatives of the man in charge of building all of it were allowed to use the backyard lake access. while this picture was taken, i was holding on to the belief i would not treat someone elses house like it were a modern castle and we the low, lower income tourists snapping pictures of affluent light fixtures and indigenous art. 20 or so minutes later i was inside marvelling at the light switches.
my sisters had already learned what all the rooms were for. most importantly: my guides divulged what they found out about the family that was to move in very shortly, that night, even. not mom, dad, and 2.5 kids: the family was a single mother and her little boy. i looked at the lovely picture in a frame by the bed - a pillowy white, cool and magnificent room overlooking the lake i'd jumped into earlier. and yeah, i laid down on it and sunk in, looking at the delicate chandelier - a veritable Goldilocks, without the goldlocks - now that i think about it.
we wandered more, absorbing the empty halls, vacant shelves and cupboards, the sun-warmed marble and granite floor. "this is a lucky kid." we agreed, our voices trailed off, no resentment. it comparatively wasn't really that big either. our uncle ben had mixed japanese temple designs with cement walkways. it was like a feng shui mansion, tall not grande, that sloped down to the rocky shore of barnacles and sharp shards from the salt water lake.

pictures tomorrow... and with my increasing wordiness of my entries, some journaling (blahging, if you will) about the job i was "SO close" to being fired from for tardiness and being distracted.
these are some of the guilty handed individuals that get taken to the back of the store to have their polaroid taken along with the item they've failed to lift. on my first day this is what i stood and looked at on my break, thinking of what to make of these sorry people.
